20世纪上半叶，中国社会正处于历史发展的十字路口，政治局势错综复杂，工人运动风起云涌。在北京西南的古镇长辛店，年轻贫寒的机车厂工人康本善梦想“当大工匠，修最难的机器，造最好的火车”。在党组织的引导下，他与王冉秋、王森、吴世驹等进步分子一起团结工人力量成立工人俱乐部、护送罢工捐款、保护技术骨干、反抗日军侵略、抓捕国民党特务等，并在与各派反动势力斗争的过程中逐渐成长、成熟。建国后，他与王冉秋作为二七机车厂的工程师伉俪，为新型机车研制做出重要贡献，成为了真正的“大工匠”。 展开全部
